How Stephanie became interested in...

Night Photography
Being a Military wife, Stephanie was given the news that her husband would be getting stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. She laughed, and was positive he was just pulling her leg... but here she is. Currently stationed with her husband in Anchorage, Alaska. Although they will only be here until April of 2017. So Stephanie needed to take advantage of every photography experience she could have in the beautiful state of Alaska. Once their first winter hit, they heard that the lights were out. So, they packed up the camera and tripod, and went out to where it was dark to try and get some pictures. Their first time out was not a success. Although, you could clearly see the green in the picture everything was completely blurry. This frusterated both Stephanie and her husband. How did people obtain such magnificent pictures of the Aurora Borealis. Thats when Stephanie's obsession with the Northern Lights began. Soon she would self teach herself everything, and learn that the lens she was using just wasn't going to cut it. Time to buy a new one. Now, Stephanie is able to go out (when she dares to freeze in the cold) and get her own pictures of the Northern Lights. She is now self teaching herself how to get milky way pictures, and other nightscape portraits. She can not wait to share her work with you!
